Crying and begging,
you fall to your knees
Anger and sadness now washed away,
replaced with strength within me.
As you beg, I remember the things you said,
All the things you had taken away.
I'm not the only victim of your heartbreak,
You gave her something she shouldn't have to face.
"Where's Daddy going?" She asked me.
That broke my heart most, to see her cry.
What could I have said?
I couldn't lie!
I held her in my arms as she wept
and you, the coward you are, ran.
So now you beg for forgiveness
and wish to try again?
My eyes are open now,
and she deserves better.
She may be the first and last person I ever love,
But
